After the ride with the Kaiserlift Kufstein to Brentenjoch, a breathtaking view of the Wilder Kaiser Mountains unfolds. Those who look closely can already spot the Upper Steinbergalm at 1318 meters altitude from afar, nestled right at the foot of the Scheffauer. From the mountain station, follow the forest road gently downhill and follow the signs to reach the Upper Steinbergalm in about 1.5 hours. It is located on a picturesque high plateau, surrounded by lush alpine meadows. The alpine pasture can be reached via the Gamskogel circular trail or via the Kaindlhütte, which is located just after the chapel on the left, following the signposts.
